What Is Glitter Gel Polish?

Glitter gel polish is a type of gel nail polish that contains small particles of glitter. These polishes are perfect for adding a sparkly and glamorous effect to your nails.

Glitter gel polishes are becoming increasingly popular as they offer a way to add some sparkle and glamour to your nails without having to wear traditional glitter nail polish. These polishes are also easy to apply and remove, and they last longer than regular nail polish.

How Many Glitter Gel Polishes Are In The Collection?

We have over 200 nail polishes in our collection, and about 40 are part of our glitter nail range. The colours and styles range from classic silver and gold to fun and bright pinks and greens.

We also have a variety of finishes, so you can choose from fine shimmers to chunky glitters, or even holographic glitter gel polishes! Our Cat Eye collection has some amazing nail polishes with a metallic finish!

Why Choose Glitter Gel Polish vs Regular Gel Polish?

If you're looking for a way to add some sparkle to your nails, then glitter gel polish is a great option. You can paint your whole nail with glitter gel or use glitter to create amazing gel nail designs.

How Do You Use Glitter Gel Polish?

Start by doing your usual nail prep routine before adding a base coat. You can apply glitters in several layers to get pigment, or add a fine layer over the top of your fave gel polish shade to add a touch of sparkle.

All of our glitter polishes are really easy to use and can be cured under UV or LED nail lamps. Curing time: 120 seconds under UV lamp, 30-60 seconds under LED lamp (depending on application and thickness of the layer).

What's the Best Way to Remove Glitter Nail Gel?

We’ve got a whole blog post that covers this topic which is a great place to go for a full breakdown of the best way to remove your nail polish. However, the removal process can be broken down into 5 simple steps.

  1. Buff the surface of the nails with a nail file to remove the shine of the top coat. This must be done firmly as the surface must be opened up to allow you to penetrate the UV lacquer, but be careful not to damage the nail.
  2. Soak a cotton pad with Mylee Gel Remover and place onto the nail plate, securing with a foil wrap.
  3. After 10 to 15 minutes, firmly pull pads off the nails, making sure you gently push away any loose product with a cuticle pusher or orange stick.
  4. If there is product remaining on the nail, re-buff and re-wrap the nail.
  5. Once the product is removed, apply cuticle oil and hand cream to hydrate your nails.
